„Euharistia – Taina Vieţii veşnice”
Sfântul Sinod al Bisericii Ortodoxe Române a proclamat anul 2014 ca an omagial euharistic şi an comemorativ al Sfinţilor Martiri Brâncoveni, aprobând astfel iniţiativa Preafericitului Părinte Patriarh Daniel.
Sfântul Sinod a aprobat de asemenea programul-cadru la nivel naţional în vederea implementării proiectului intitulat: „2014 – Anul Omagial Euharistic (al Sfintei Spovedanii şi al Sfintei Împărtăşiri) şi anul comemorativ al Sfinţilor Martiri Brâncoveni” în Patriarhia Română din perspectivă liturgică şi culturală.
Ca parte a programului-cadru, doctoranzii Facultăţii de Teologie din Sibiu organizează Conferinţa Internaţională cu tema „Euharistia – Taina Vieţii veşnice”. Scopul acestei reuniuni este sublinierea rolului Tainei Sfintei Împărtăşanii în comunităţile creştine din perspectivă istorică, dogmatică, ecumenică şi misionară.

Eucharist, the Sacrament of Eternal Life
The holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church proclaimed the year 2014 as Solemn Eucharistic Year (of the Holy Confession and Holy Communion) and Commemorative Year of the Brancoveanu Martyr Saints and decided the following:
They approved the initiatives of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel concerning the proclamation of the year 2014 as “Solemn Eucharistic Year (of the Holy Confession and Holy Communion)” and “Commemorative Year of the Brancoveanu Martyr Saints” in the Romanian Patriarchate.
The holy Synod approved also the church national frame-programme in order to implement the project entitled “2014 – Solemn Eucharistic year (of the Holy Confession and of the Holy Communion)” and “Commemorative year of the Brancoveanu Martyr Saints” in the Romanian Patriarchate from liturgical, cultural and media point of view.
As a part of this frame-programme the PhD Students of the Orthodox Theology Faculty have organised an International Conference concerning the Eucharist as the Sacrament of Eternal Life. The aim of this gathering is the underlining of Eucharist’s role in the Christian communities from Historical, Dogmatic, Ecumenical and Missionary approach.
